VoiceForge: Designing Voice Systems That Can Be Operated
The useful question is not whether a machine can speak. It is whether the resulting voice system can be governed, measured, and trusted in context.
Voice is one of the most immediate interfaces between people and intelligent systems. It carries language, pace, tone, identity, and expectation at the same time. That density makes voice powerful, but it also makes casual deployment irresponsible.
